ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM THE SYNDROME CALLED DWARKISATION ?

While moving in a bus heading towards Dwarka, you might get people living in Madhu Vihar, Vijay Enclave, Matiala  etc. When you ask them  about their adobe they will just say it’s  THE  DWARKA!  Is it  the charisma of DWARKISATION that has influenced these people or something else ?

There is no denying the fact that Dwarka provides one of the comfortable to lavish destination to reside in, sports complex to cherish with, Sec 6-10 market to glorify it, broad roads …….what else ? But let`s have a BIRDS EYE-VIEW and we can easily see, there are Islands of underdeveloped areas in this ocean of prosperity —called DWARKA. These people still have low to medium standard lifestyle, in the name of sports complex  they have open grounds, in the name of markets they have Som Bajar  ….what not ..? People living in surrounding unauthorized colonies feel less proud of amenities  –to be true — Cryingly  the least . The reason is simple there is so much of contrast visible. These people try to modify their culture, lifestyle, attitude and behavior —leading to Psuedo-Sanskratization and Dwarkisation of these areas.

Simply because the real spin- off effect of the POSH DWARKA is still far behind. This in way is to demean these people (who are certainly happier than others) but to highlight that the fruits of development are yet to reach.

What can be done?

These underdeveloped areas are enmeshed in the legal tussle of authorization .One way is wait for the law to take its own course or come out with some innovative steps as done in MAGARPATA city, where residents have come together jointly to develop these areas. The resident, private builder and government can come together, to build many Mini Dwarkas in these areas. In turn residents will get ownership of MIG to HIG with government too getting its share of revenue. It would be a win-win solution for the government and the residents. And perhaps the Dwarkisation would really be a result of inclusive development and a model of development and public-private-people-participation (in the word of present government 4Ps approach) to be replicated all over the India. But who is going to take the first move?
