Eye Care Camp by Ek Sangharsh at Govt School, Pochanpur

Ek Sangharsh, a registered NGO, in collaboration with One Sight India Foundation organised a Free Eye Care Camp at Govt Co-ed Senior Secondary School, Pochanpur, Dwarka, New Delhi today (11th July 2013).

A total of about 900 students were screened at the camp by a team of 6 doctors and about 10 volunteers. Of these 900 screened students, about 100 need vision glasses which will be provided by the One Sight India Foundation free of cost. Another 150 students were prescribed general medicines and exercises as preventive measure.

‘Usually govt school students are not able to avail such facilities and there is also a lack of awareness among the parents about eye care. So we joined hands with One Sight India Foundation and organised this eye care camp which went quite well. We plan to organise more such camps in near future in other schools and villages and slums.’, informed Manish Godara, Vice-President, Ek Sangharsh.
