Inspiring Story: Helping Birds Survive in the Polluted City

Here we found something interesting on Facebook wall of a friend:

Everybody talks about saving environment and in summers everybody keeps forwarding messages to keep water bowl for bird but that water bowl gets empty on smartphones itself.
Here our team is tirelessly and silently working against all odds in Sector 23 Dwarka district park’s woodland.

Yesterday our team made bird feeders and bird houses out of old cold drink bottles. We hanged them on different trees near the water body in the woodland which is frequented by a huge number of birds everyday. This is one of the few efforts being made to attract more birds to the area and help them increase in number.

In past one month, woodland has been set on fire 3 times and the attitude of Horticulture Department DDA is so lax that am planning to get an FIR registered against them very soon. Everyday, they are destroying or letting destroyed the natural vegetation that has grown in past many years. All efforts are being foiled by DDA Horticulture Department.
