The South Delhi Municipal Committee has distributed the bins in every CGHS but placing them in markets in Dwarka is still pending which will be undertaken shortly. The Societies should keep these bins inside its compound and the garbage is being removed and sent to the disposal site daily, informed Shri Rajesh Gahlot, Chairman, Standing Committee. Once the backlog is clear, SDMC plans to remove the garbage from the empty plots and open sites. As promised, Shri Rajesh Gahlot has given the list consisting names and mobile numbers of Sanitary Inspectors and other officials suggesting to contact them in case of non-removal of garbage/waste. In case these officials are found wanting, residents can contact their respective Councillors. Residents can contact Shri Rajesh Gahlot on 8130892136 in case of such an eventuality.
Sushil Kumar, President brought to notice that as per MCD Act all the Sanitation there is NO HOLIDAY on Sat/Sun etc. However, DF suggested a roaster may prepared for all Sanitaiton staff to compensate Weekly Off as per set rule except Saturday and Sunday so that the working residents can also find it easy to monitor the sanitation situation. On this, Gahlot ji was agreeable and suggested that DF should make this suggestion to DC also by sending a formal letter by the DF.
The meeting was held on 25.11.2012 at his office wherein Shri Sushil Kumar, Anil Rajput, MK Gupta and VIshwanath ji from DF were present.
