After the brutal incident happened in December last year in Delhi, Delhi Police and many institutes,colleges across Delhi are paying attention to the security of women and changes required in the system. On the same line, DPC Institute of management, Dwarka, New Delhi conducted a workshop on Self Defense “Dare to fight back” with Dwarkaites (Women and girl kids) on 3rd Feb, Sunday, 2013
On the occasion Chief Guest of the Event Former CBI Director, Shri Joginder Singh Ji, told the audience to fight back in every situation. Be alert during out for work, school, college or some other work. He also shared his experiences while in the services. He also taught the participants what is right, how to pretend on particular situations and what our basic rights to fight back are.
Dwarka ACP, Shri Samay Singh Ji also shared current incidents on accidents, rape, crime against women with audience. Also suggested some tips on Legal Protection for Women.
On her concluding remark Ms. Veena Gupta (Founder of WESS) said about the power of women and emphasized the need of such continuous session for interaction with Dwarka Women. Listening to audience real-life situations of crime against them she suggested how to fight with day to day life crime and be bold during their activities. some physical tips while tracing by someone , how to behave on a road with strangers like one hand distance maintaining ,be alert while taking to someone and the most important is how to use your sixth sense, were given. She also said that these indicates vibes of the strange person in front of you and applying those we may lesson such incidents.
